I have been an educator for 17 years in the public school system and 2 years in the charter school system.  I was privileged to have been able to teach kindergarten children for 12 years, was a reading specialist/instructional coach for 2 years, Reading First Coordinator for 3 years and Educational Coordinator (at Lakeview) for the past 2 years.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood and Middle School Education earned through Utah State University.  In addition, I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education with Levels 1 and 2 Reading Endorsements also received through Utah State University.

I am married to Mr. H.W. "Bud" Stone, Director of Lakeview Academy.  We have 6 children and 6 grandchildren.  My hobbies are visiting and playing with my grandchildren (and children), reading, writing, gardening, walking/running and bike riding.

I am looking forward to working at Lakeview for a 3rd year as the Educational Coordinator over curriculum and instruction.  I especially enjoy working with the students, teachers and parents at Lakeview Academy.  We have a very dedicated group of teachers who are anxiously engaged in the cause of implementing Lakeview Academy's Charter.
