Ms. Ralphs has spent the last 30 years in Idaho going to school, raising her four children on a farm, teaching elementary and middle school art (13 years) and history (2 years) plus ran a business for a few years somewhere in between.  She was raised in Spokane, Washington as the oldest of six children, graduating from Central Valley High School.  Penny has since graduated from BYU-Idaho (Associate/Elementary Education), Idaho State University (B.A./K-12 Art Education), University of Idaho (MEd/Education Administration), received a History endorsement (primarily from Boise State) and has taken additional education courses from 5 other colleges and Universities.  Ms. Ralphs loves to learn!  Six years ago, she did a sabbatical and worked at the Springville Museum of Art and the Church Museum of History and Art on Temple Square.

Her children (3 boys, 1 girl) are attending Weber State, Utah State, and College of Southern Idaho.  Two are married, two served missions (Sweden and Ecuador) and all are smart, funny, creative...yes, she's a proud mom.  Ms. Ralphs loves to travel (8 countries/35 states), do anything cultural (art, music, drama, dance, history), take classes and try new things (one of her most recent being laser tag with Lakeview Academy Board Members).  She is especially looking forward to an incredible year as director of the middle school and has great hopes to make it the best in the state!  Looking forward to meeting and working with all of you!
