Carolyn Hoefer attended Utah State University where, despite the attraction of studying linguistics, physics, or educational psychology, she received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  She received an endorsement in mathematics because she felt that was an area in which she needed to improve.

Carolyn enjoys taking things apart and putting them together.  This proclivity to construct and deconstruct applies first to information and theories, then to machines and other physical objects.  While there are not many things Carolyn does not enjoy doing, she particularly enjoys playing musical instruments (piano and recorder) as well as singing, learning about people, places, and things, and writing creatively.

Carolyn is working toward an M.Ed. in elementary education, with a gifted and talented endorsement, through Utah State.  She is a native of Salt Lake City, UT.
