Mr. Stopa — Humanities

Mr. Stopa is originally from San Diego, California, where he spent three weeks this past summer teaching English to students from Spain.  He loves anything to do with water.  This summer he had an experience of a lifetime while snorkeling among Leopard Sharks (sounds scary, but they're harmless.)

Mr. Stopa received a degree in Elementary Education from BYU, and did his masters work in philosophy and religion.  Before he came to Lakeview, he was a professional writer, producer, film director, businessman, radio show host, and he even worked with juvenile delinquents.  The highlight of his career was the years spent as a scriptwriter for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, especially when one of his scripts was used in the inauguration of George W. Bush.  His favorite thing to do is make fish tacos for his family and friends.
