Hello!

I'm teaching Middle School Science at Lakeview this year and very excited to be working with you.

I grew up in Michigan, where I also got my Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering.  I worked in Engineering for a couple of years and then entered the Peace Corps and moved to South Africa.  I lived there for a couple of years, working in the village schools, eating chicken feet, and sleeping with scorpions!  I then moved to Alaska for a couple of years where I earned my Master's in Teaching.  I spent a year in Virginia teaching Math and Science and then moved to Utah.

This is my second year at Lakeview teaching Science.  I had a great time last year and look forward to another great year.  My philosophy of education is to incorporate as many hands on, investigative learning opportunities as possible.  I feel students learn best through labs, using manipulatives, and "getting their hands dirty".
